Group Workouts

Tired of working out alone?  Not sure what workouts to do or if you’re doing them correctly? Need something to get you out the door? Want to meet more runners in Charlotte?  Come join Ascent Running’s Group Workouts!


Each week there will be a different workout for the group such as intervals, speed work, hill repeats, fartleks and tempo runs.


Irwin Belk Track Complex located on the campus of Johnson C. Smith University adjacent to I-277 & I-77 in Charlotte, NC. Directions to the track


You! Workouts will be designed for all ability and experience levels. Don't worry if you've never heard of a fartlek or tempo before, all workouts are explained in detail before the workout and can be discussed afterwards.


Starting in January 29th, 2019 workouts will be held twice weekly, Tuesday evening at 6:30 pm and Thursday morning at 6:00 AM. It is suggested to arrive a few minutes early.




Former professional runner, current American Record holder, and coach Christo Landry will be overseeing the group workouts.
